These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of the digital products sold on landedcareerguide.com (the "Website"). By placing an order, you confirm that you agree to and are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not complete your purchase.

2. General Terms

These Terms apply to the entire Website and to any email or other communication between you and LANDED.

LANDED will not be responsible for any outcome that may occur during the course of usage of our resources. We reserve the right to change prices and revise our product range at any time. Any such change will not affect orders already completed.

3. Products and Prices

We sell the following digital products (the "Products"):

LANDED (Ebook) — €14.99. A digital career guide covering CV writing, job searching and interviews, and succeeding in a new role, delivered as an instant digital download in PDF format.

LANDED Full Career Kit — €20.99. The ebook described above, together with additional bonus digital files comprising CV templates, cover letter templates, and a LinkedIn profile optimisation checklist, delivered as instant digital downloads.

All prices are displayed in Euro (€) and include any applicable VAT. The applicable VAT is calculated, collected and remitted by Gumroad in accordance with EU VAT rules for digital services. No delivery, shipping or handling charges apply, as no physical goods are supplied. The total price payable, including any applicable VAT, is displayed to you at checkout before you complete your order, and no additional charges will be added afterwards.

4. Payment Processing and Merchant of Record

All payments made through this Website are processed by Gumroad, Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

This means that Gumroad, and not the Seller, is the seller of record shown on your payment statement and invoice, processes your payment securely, calculates, collects and remits any applicable VAT or sales tax due on your purchase, and issues the official receipt for your transaction.

The Seller remains solely responsible for the content, quality and delivery of the digital Products themselves. Questions about a charge appearing on your bank or card statement may reference "Gumroad". Questions about product content, access, or refunds should be directed to support@landedcareerguide.com.

5. Nature of the Products — Digital Content

The Products are digital content supplied in a non-tangible, electronic format and are not supplied on any physical medium. No physical item will be shipped to you.

Upon completion of your purchase, you will receive access to download the Products via a link provided by Gumroad, normally delivered by email within minutes of payment confirmation. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a device and software capable of opening PDF and standard document files, and for retaining your own backup copies of any files you download.

6. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

As a consumer purchasing at distance within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase, without giving any reason and without incurring any cost.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement sent to support@landedcareerguide.com. You may use the Model Withdrawal Form set out in the Annex to these Terms, but this is not obligatory — any clear statement of your decision is sufficient. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. Reimbursement will be made via Gumroad using the same means of payment used for the original transaction, and you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Why we do not ask you to waive this right

EU law allows a trader to ask consumers to expressly waive the 14-day withdrawal right for digital content delivered immediately. We have chosen not to operate on that basis.

You therefore retain your full statutory right of withdrawal for 14 days, in addition to our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee set out in Section 7 below — whichever is more favourable to you applies.

7. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Separately from, and in addition to, your statutory right of withdrawal described above, we voluntarily offer all customers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all Products purchased from this Website. This is a commercial guarantee offered by the Seller and does not restrict or replace any of your statutory rights.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of your original purchase date by emailing support@landedcareerguide.com from the email address used at checkout, including your order number or receipt. You are not required to provide a reason.

Approved refund requests are normally processed within 5 business days and refunded to the original payment method via Gumroad. This voluntary guarantee is limited to one redemption per customer per Product, and we reserve the right to decline a request where we reasonably suspect abuse of the guarantee, such as repeated purchase-and-refund cycles or fraudulent payment activity. This limitation does not apply to, and cannot restrict, your statutory rights under Sections 6 or 8.

8. Statutory Rights for Faulty or Misdescribed Content

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of Latvia and under Directive (EU) 2019/770 on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services, including your right to a remedy — such as bringing the digital content into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract — where the Product supplied is defective, does not match its description, or is not fit for the purpose for which digital content of that type is normally used.

If you believe a Product you received is faulty, corrupted, incomplete, or does not match its description on this Website, please contact support@landedcareerguide.com and we will remedy the issue or provide an appropriate remedy free of charge.

9. Licence to Use

Upon completion of a valid purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use the Products for your own personal, non-commercial career development purposes. This licence is perpetual in respect of Products you have lawfully purchased.

You may:

  • Download and store the Products on your own personal devices.
  • Print the Products for your own personal use.
  • Edit the CV and cover letter templates (where included) to create your own personal career documents.

Each purchase entitles one individual customer to personal use of the Products.

10. Restrictions

You agree not to, and not to permit others to:

  • License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource or otherwise commercially exploit the Products, or make the Products available to any third party.
  • Upload the Products to any file-sharing service, public repository, marketplace, or social media platform.
  • Modify, adapt or make derivative works of the Products for the purpose of redistribution or resale.
  • Remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice contained in the Products.
  • Use the Products, or any part of them, to create a competing product or service.

11. Intellectual Property

All content within the Products — including text, structure, research summaries, design, layout, templates, and the LANDED name and branding — is the intellectual property of the Seller and is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you under Section 9 are reserved.

The Products reference third-party research studies and statistics for illustrative and educational purposes. Such references do not imply any endorsement of the Products by the cited researchers, institutions or publications.

12. Informational Purpose — No Professional Advice

The Products are intended for general informational and educational purposes relating to career development, job searching and professional conduct. They do not constitute professional, legal, financial or career-counselling advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for such advice.

We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using the Products, including securing an interview, receiving a job offer, or negotiating any particular salary. Career outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including individual circumstances, labour market conditions, and the decisions of third parties such as employers and recruiters.

13. Subscriptions and Cancelling

All Products sold on this Website are one-time purchases. There is no subscription, recurring charge or membership. Once purchased, a Product remains available to you permanently and does not expire.

If you have subscribed to our email newsletter, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or by contacting support@landedcareerguide.com.

14. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your device by your web browser. Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Website to function, including maintaining your session during checkout. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics, used to measure Website traffic and understand how visitors use the Website.
  • Advertising and retargeting — the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, used to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant advertising to people who have visited our Website.

Analytics and advertising cookies are not strictly necessary for the operation of the Website. Where required by applicable law, these are placed only on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. You can also configure most web browsers to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent; however, if you disable cookies, some parts of the Website may not function correctly. For full details of how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

15. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services in the operation of this Website and business:

  • Gumroad — payment processing and product delivery, acting as Merchant of Record.
  • Base44 — website hosting and application platform.
  • Porkbun — domain registration and DNS services.
  • Proton Mail — email communication and customer support.
  • Google Analytics — website traffic measurement and analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — advertising measurement and retargeting.

These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. While we select our providers with care, we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of third-party services or websites linked from our Website, and your use of them is subject to their own terms. This does not affect our responsibility to you for the Products we supply.

16. Links to Other Websites

Our Website may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by us. When you follow a link to another website, these Terms no longer apply. Your browsing and interaction on any other website is subject to that website's own rules and policies, and such third parties may use their own cookies or other methods to collect information about you.

17. Updates to Our Products

We may from time to time provide enhancements or improvements to the content of the Products, including corrections, updated research or additional material ("Updates"). Where Updates are provided to existing customers free of charge, they form an integral part of the Product and are subject to these Terms.

We are not obliged to provide Updates. However, where a Product has been supplied to you, we will not withdraw access to the version you purchased.

18. Term and Termination

This Agreement remains in effect for as long as you use the Products.

We may terminate the licence granted in Section 9 only where you commit a material breach of these Terms — in particular, where you redistribute, resell, publish or otherwise make a Product available to third parties in breach of Section 10. Where the breach is capable of being remedied, we will give you written notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy it before terminating.

Your purchased copy is yours to keep

For the avoidance of doubt: if you have lawfully purchased a Product and have not breached these Terms, we will not require you to delete it, and your right to keep and use your copy for personal purposes continues indefinitely.

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by ceasing use of the Products and deleting your copies. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available to either party at law in respect of a prior breach.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Products, our practices, or applicable law. Where a change is material, we will publish the revised Terms on this page and update the "last updated" date at least 30 days before the new Terms take effect.

The version of these Terms in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Changes will never retroactively reduce rights in respect of a Product you have already bought.

20. Your Feedback

If you voluntarily send us feedback, comments, ideas or suggestions about the Website or the Products, you agree that we may use them to improve our Products and services without obligation to you. You are under no obligation to provide feedback, and we will not use your name in connection with any feedback without your consent.

21. Indemnification

You agree to compensate us for any loss, claim or reasonable cost we incur as a direct result of your deliberate or negligent breach of the licence restrictions in Section 10 — for example, unlawful redistribution of a Product. This obligation applies only to the extent that the loss is caused by your own breach, and does not apply to matters outside your control or to any liability that cannot lawfully be imposed on a consumer.

22. Warranties and Disclaimers

We warrant that the Products will be supplied with reasonable care and skill and will conform to their description on this Website at the time of purchase.

Beyond the warranties expressly given in these Terms and those implied by mandatory law, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Products are provided "as is" without further warranty. In particular, we make no representation that the Products will meet your individual requirements or achieve any specific career outcome.

Nothing in this Section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of Latvia and the European Union, including your rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770 in respect of digital content that is not in conformity with the contract. Some or all of the above exclusions may not apply to you where local mandatory law provides otherwise.

23. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with your purchase, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim, except where a higher liability is required by mandatory law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or loss of employment prospects, arising from your use of or inability to use the Products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for failure to supply the Products in conformity with the contract.

24. Availability and Technical Issues

We aim to keep the Website and download links available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We are not liable for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, email delivery failures, or issues affecting the systems of our service providers.

If you experience a technical problem accessing a Product you have purchased, please contact support@landedcareerguide.com and we will provide a replacement download link as soon as reasonably possible, free of charge.

25. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another European Union member state, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@landedcareerguide.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and to resolve them promptly and fairly.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

We commit to resolving consumer disputes through alternative dispute resolution where a direct resolution cannot be reached.

The competent authority in Latvia is the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs, PTAC), Brīvības iela 55, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia — www.ptac.gov.lv

Consumers resident in another EU member state may also contact their national European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) for assistance with cross-border disputes.

Nothing in this Section prevents you from bringing proceedings before the competent courts, including, where you are a consumer, the courts of your own country of residence.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

27. Waiver

A failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms does not affect the ability to exercise that right or require performance at any later time, nor does the waiver of one breach constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the order confirmation issued to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Seller regarding your purchase and use of the Products, and supersede all prior agreements or understandings on that subject.
